FAMILY DISCIPLESHIP

BUILD THE HOUSE WITH WISDOM

Four practical lessons designed for adults and mixed-age family discussion.
01

Weekly household study

Objective: establish a repeatable family rhythm of reading, discussion and practice.

Scripture: Parents are commanded to keep covenant words before their children in daily life. Deuteronomy 6:4–9 ↗

  1. Read the passage aloud.
  2. Ask what the text commands.
  3. Name one household practice for the week.
  4. Return next week and discuss what happened.
02

Marriage: faithfulness and understanding

Marriage instruction should be studied with mutual duties visible. Malachi condemns treachery against one’s covenant companion; Peter commands husbands to live with understanding and honor. Malachi 2:14–16 ↗ 1 Peter 3:7 ↗

Discussion: What habits build trust? What actions destroy it?

03

Parents and children

Instruction joins teaching with disciplined example. Fathers are warned not to provoke children while raising them in instruction. Proverbs 22:6 ↗ Ephesians 6:1–4 ↗

Practice: Choose one commandment, explain it in plain language and model it during the week.

04

Household service plan

Joshua publicly commits his household to serving Yahuah. The verse records a covenant choice, not a license for coercion. Joshua 24:14–15 ↗

Activity: Write a one-page household standard covering worship, speech, work, care and reconciliation.
